Schmidt: Technology makes more equality but the gap will not disappear

By Jerri Lily

World Wide Web is the good one, there will be 5 billion people join the Internet, Schmidt said. The people will be combined together by the information and change the world.

Schmidt pointed out that the early users of the Internet are the first group, and to enjoy a huge advantage in education and wealth, most of the participants belong to the first group.

In the future, the first group will enjoy an unlimited amount of speed and processing power. Powerful micro-sensors will be everywhere, the new intelligent infrastructure will emerge, many cities in the 2020 data transfer rate per second GB fiber-optic network. He said that the rate will change people's lives, South Korea is a good example.

Schmidt said Google's unmanned vehicle has traveled over 200,000 miles. Large amounts of data will enable human society to a major breakthrough. The next time will be less fear technology, the Web will be all the other will no longer be a problem.

The second group is the generation that grew up along with the development of science and technology, they have the technology, but the middle class is lack of sufficient financial resources to use with the first group of the same technology.

People will enter the holographic era, the use of holographic technology to remote contact, use of new technologies to achieve the remote sense of smell. People will choose your friends based on interest rather than geographical location, simultaneous translation technology will help people to overcome the language barrier.

The second group is growing rapidly, but the vast majority of people do not belong to the second group.

Schmidt pointed out that the people need is not only smart phones, but also requires a data connection. Not connected to the Internet via peer-to-peer technology to share data.

Schmidt said the elite group will exist in the world, but they are not the monopoly of the process of social development, science and technology will enable the community to become more equal. But the gap will not disappear, and even expand in some respects. Schmidt called on the people must take action to avoid the emergence of digital hierarchical society, and to create an equitable global community.
